Ale 2.0 vs The Charlotte Street hotel

I've learnt my first major lesson about organising large groups of people...

Don't have a meeting at The Charlotte Street Hotel and buy all the drinks!

A classic error...

Saying that though my chat on Wednesday with Fleur, Charlotte and Anke was priceless and inspiring.

There were many insights but the main job that was identified was to really understand what the charities needed.

So I've emailed all the charities who have put themselves forward and asked them the following questions...

1. Describe what your charity does in 140 words

2. What is your solvable communication problem?

3. What would you hope to achieve working with Ale 2.0 - Drink Ale for Charity

4. Why should "the crowd" choose you?

5. How could this project benefit your charity?

6. Who do expect to support your charity (target market?)

I will be posting the charities "pitches" on the blog when they get back to me. Based on this feedback I will be running a poll for "the crowd" to decide which they think is the charity that would benefit the most from the donated time.

Hopefully soon we will have a charity lined up and we can start the next stage.

I'll keep the next steps for the next blog but I can't tell you how helpful Fleur, Charlotte and Anke have been!
